Chris Brown says his domestic violence arrest after assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna was "one of the most troubling times" in his life.

In an interview with the British newspaper "The Guardian," the singer explains that what he calls "the Rihanna incident" was the "biggest wake-up call" in his life.  At that point Brown says he had to "stop acting like a little teenager."  He says he "learned from it" and that it triggered something in his mind to be "more of a mature adult."

As for dealing with the public scrutiny of the incident, Brown he says set out to prove to the world that he could come back.  After the arrest, he says he would write up to eight songs per night out of "pure ambition."  At that time, he says he was completely focused on what he had to do both legally and professionally.

Chris also opened up about losing his virginity at age eight.  According to the British newspaper, "The Guardian," the controversial singer's first time was with a girl from his hometown of Tappahannock, Virginia, who was 14 or 15-years old.

Brown says at eight-years old he and his friends were already "hot to trot" because of the amount of pornography they had seen.  He explains that even at that young age he "wasn't afraid" to talk to girls.

Apparently, Brown has no regrets about not waiting to have sex.  He says it prepped him "for the long run."  While Brown didn't reveal how many women he'd slept with, he compared himself to Prince, who he says "had a lot of girls back in the day."
